paypal verification issue and my confusion and concern?????

What's going on? trying to make a payment through ebay for an item...as I have done so many times before and wallop!! It's saying I need to verify and lift limits....

SO I got to my account and it's telling me that it's verified already and so I look at this limits bit and click to lift limits...suddenly Im being asked about business details and the info coming up isn't my DOB and I'm concerned something weird is happening!!!

Now I'm worried and can't quite get my head around why I even have limits and how I sort this out at all????

I have been using paypal for yearsand its still saying that my home address id unconfirmed, dont know whats happening.

Hey guys,

 

Soozeedol, if your PayPal account is already verified this can happen sometimes if there is an alteration to the bank account or anything.

 

By contacting PayPal customer service this issue can be resolved. Let us know how you get on.

 

Keithparkers1958, the first thing I’ll say is the address status won’t affect your sellers protection at all or your account.

 

I have provided the steps below on how to confirm your address.

 

To complete the confirmation:

1. Log in to your PayPal account at www.paypal.co.uk
2. On the My Account Overview page, click 'View Limits'.
3. Tick the box beside 'Receiving Limit per year', and click 'Lift Limits'.
4. In the Tasks column, click 'Confirm your information'.
5. Please review your credit card information.
• If you have more than one credit card on your account, select the credit card billing address you wish to confirm
• If you do not have a credit card listed on your PayPal account, add a card to continue
6. Select the phone number at the credit card billing address to confirm.
• For P.O. Box address, select the phone number in closest vicinity to Post Office
7. Select the time to receive the automated call, either 'Call now' or 'Call in one minute'.
8. Click 'Continue'.
9. You will then see a 'Validate your Account Information by Phone' page, with the time selected and your four-digit Phone Confirmation PIN number.
• Please write down your PIN or print the page
10. You will receive an automated phone call from PayPal at the time you selected and will be asked to enter your Phone Confirmation PIN followed by the # sign (called a 'Pound' or 'Hash' sign).

If you miss the call or if the process fails you are allowed two more attempts to complete this step. The PIN number you are given for the first attempt remains the same for the second or third call attempts if those become necessary.

After completing the phone call, you will receive an email with your Phone Confirmation results.

Note: If you fail the 'Validate your Account Information by Phone' process three times you will receive a message on-screen to inform you of this. In this case we will automatically issue you with a code through the post to allow you to 'Confirm by Post' instead.
