limitations.

A common theme on here.

I had my account limited ages ago. I refused to give over my info but now have had to succumb because there are items on ebay that I can only seem to get there.

I sent a copy of my drivers licence. I have no utility bills in my name so I sent an invoice from HMRC. A government body. First time they told me they couldn't see the date properly. Then I retook a photo and included the date better. So then they tell me that isn't a valid document.

Really? Firstly, why couldn't you have said that in the first instance. Secondly, what exactly about Her Majesties Revenue and Customs isn't official enough?

Even my drivers licence has my address on it. It's illegal to have an incorrect address on your licence.

So I emailed Paypal specific questions about being unable to provide a utility bill or bank statement as my banking is paperless. Instead of a relevant response I get a bs automated response telling me everything that I already know and ignoring my questions.

If it was possible for me to ring I would have. I had to email. So why can't my issue be answered via email?

Awful company

Have you considered contacting Customer Service via Facebook or Twitter?

You can send them a personal message from their facebook or twitter pages.

It's: https://www.facebook.com/PayPalUK and @AskPayPal for Twitter.

I don't do facebook. Twitter is limited to 140 characters. Have PayPal ever thought of properly replying to email? Or do they just want to appear trendy by citing social media.

This is awful. You'd think they would have people on the forum who culd give answers.

this is a "user to user" help forum and not paypal customer services.

so the folks that give advice on here do not work for paypal.

it takes seconds to open a facebook account and send them a message and its the best way to get a response.

I don't know why they don't reply to emails. all i can do is advise you the best way to get a response.

I don't want nor require a FB account. If that is the only way they'll give a response then it shows what a pisspoor company they are.

Kind of proven that they leave it up to volunteers on here to do what they should be doing.Answering questions.

Thanks anyway.

Hopefully Paypal go bust soon and we can use better methods on Ebay
