Hi,
I am english but live in spain and have been a paypal customer for a few years now.
I have been trying to raise my linit from $ 2500 per year, as with an increase in activity expected this is just far to low. I have emailed proof of address and a copy of my passport but was told this is unacceptable(unbelievable in 2011) it would have to be a fax.So I made the necessary copies and sent a fax, which was acknowledged as being recieved but then I got an email a day later to say the copy they recieved was to dark. Whilst I can send it again maybe from a different machine (as I don't own a fax) surely there must be an easier way?
I also cannot get any help in English there are no telephone numbers to talk to anyone and I just cannot believe how a company of this size continues to operate when its customers cannot comunicate with them.
If anyone can help I would be very grateful.
Sharon

Hi Sharon, apologies for the frustration you have experienced. Faxing is not the only option; you could also upload the files directly to your account. Here's how to upload files for your limitation.
- Go to the PayPal website and log in to your account.
- Click "Resolution Centre."
- Click "Resolve" in the Action column of the transaction in question.
- Click "Upload Files".
- Click "Browse" and select the first file you'd like to attach.
- Enter a title for the file.
- Select a type of evidence for the file.
- Type in a description of your file.
- Click "Attach this File".
- Repeat steps five to nine to attach additional files.
- Click "Send Files to PayPal" to complete your upload.
Here's more information about uploading files and documents to PayPal:
- Give the file a recognisable name.
- The name should include no more than three numbers.
- You can provide a description of the file you are sending, up to 100 characters.
- Information that you upload appears in the Attachments box. You can preview the file or delete it from there.
- You can attach multiple files, up to a total file size of 5000 kb, using these file formats: gif, jpg, pdf, or png.

Hello Barry,
My apologies for not responding sooner - thank you for your very helpful reply!
Unfortunately, I don't know why, but I don't have the facility to upload documents on my PayPal screen. It took seven, very long and comprehensive, emails to PayPal before they realised that I really didn't have the facility to upload documents!
They had to send me a link which took me to an upload page, after which I was able to send the necessary info to them.
Maybe the PayPal screen in Spain is different to the one in the UK? Don't know why it should be, but that's all I can think of.
Anyway, thanks for your help, albeit belatedly!
Regards,
Sharon
