Bank account confirmed but not varified with deposites

Hi,

I just linked my bank account with paypal and recieved a confirmation rightaway.

I plan to sell things on line (ebay etc), so do I need my account to be varified too? I havent recieved any deposites after almost 10 days.

Or paypal confirmation of my account solves the issue?
