Hi there. I have held linked paypal and ebay accounts for years but have only recently verified my paypal account which was simple to do. It now says its verified.
Ebay however is still asking me to 'get verified' before i can list certain items. From a bit of a search, I see others have had this issue, but noone has ever posted a fix.
I have spoken to both customer service teams and they are frankly a bit useless, each point the finger at each other, as you would expect.
Anyone care to advise?

UPDATE TO MY ORIGINAL POST
Ive been checking this daily on the off chance there was a lag in servers speaking to one another or something to that effect. The problem has righted itself as of today and im up and running with my problematic listing.
As there's nothing worse than finding a forum thread somewhere where the oringal poster doesnt update with their resolution...... I googled the problem originally and found alot of people with the same issue but no fixes. Whilst this is not a fix per se, hopefully this will give those that come behind me a little hope that sitting back for a few days is maybe just the answer.

Do you mean that this process did not work properly?
Click My eBay at the top of most eBay pages
Under the Account section, click the PayPal Account link
Click the Link My PayPal Account button. You'll be asked to log in to PayPal to finish linking your accounts.
EDIT: I just checked my self and when clicking the become verified button on ebay.co.uk then I am asked to log in to my PayPal account. After I log in I get a message that I am now a verified PayPal user. But I was already a verified PayPal user. And nothing changed with my ebay Uk account I still have the get verified button. Perhaps it is because I am not in the UK. It might be that the verify process on ebay.co.uk only work if you have a PayPal UK account and a ebay.com.uk account as well as a postal address in the UK.
Do you live in the UK?

I have already done as suggested above numerous times having removed and relinked my accounts from both ends to no avail.

I have tried to list an item for sale on ebay and they say that my verification answers are not correct. I have chatted with a person and tried to follow her instructions which are not correct. I have sent an email to customer support at ebay and am still waiting for a reply. I don't understand what the problem is as I had no trouble listing an item for sale a few weeks ago. Can you help me?

Hi there,
I agree with you - there is nothing worse than finding a closed thread where the OP states that the problem is solved, but doesn't define how.
Thank-you for sharing.

I have had a similar thing happen to me and I've been on eBay for over ten years. The watched item was an old set of alloy wheels that had pop-out centres but the wheels did need full refurbishment. I prefer the pop-out-centre type as I have a tyre changer that will only work with wheels that have a hole in the centre. The wheels on my car are however the greatly despised solid centre type which also need a special attachment for a wheel balancer and not many tyre stations have these.
So there I was having set up a substantial snipe to get the wanted item. Later when I checked I discovered that my snipe had been refused because "Account is not verified". Even worse was the fact that the item received no bids! I am absolutely livid about this fiasco as I should have won the item on a Maiden Bid.
The item has been relisted but this time there will probably be a bidding war. Thanks a bunch!
