Hi, I'm trying to close my account but it keeps coming up declining to saying that my account is limited. Paypal recently asked for information such as proof of adress and photo ID. I provided both back in january and they come up as completed. However, my account is still limited. I cant even open another account because my bank details are on this account but i cant remove the details due to the limitation. I try emailing customer services but get an automated response everytime.
Maybe they were not satisfied with the information you supplied, the only way to know is to phone them and ask.
But if its limited then you can't close it, paypal limit it so you can't open another paypal account with any bank accounts or cards that you have linked.
Also if you have a limited account you are not allowed to open another, if you do it will soon be limited as well.
