Speaking to PayPal after account has been accessed by someone else.C

I recently found transactions on my account that I had had no knowledge of.   Not created by or authorised by me.   I cancelled my credit card and bank account links, removed the credit balance and changed my password.   I reported the abuse to PayPal who 'investigated', ensuring a re-credit of a tiny amount.   My problems include Paypal not having told me how this mischief was permitted, what have Paypal done to the miscreant and am I, and anyone else, prone to this happening again.   The main frustration is not finding a way to talk to a PayPal human being, rather than machines.

If your account was hacked its normally one of these reasons.

1. A virus or keyword logger on your computer.

2. You responded to a spoof email and gave away your paypal info.

3. Your password was guessed by someone that knew your email address.

4. Someone correctly knew the answers to your security questions and used the lost password option.

There may be others but these are the most common.

To talk to customer services just click on help / contact bottom of paypal pages and use the phone option.

When you get through do not select any options, just stay quiet or say AGENT to get through more quickly.
