I have an account that barely makes any money after E BAY/PayPal fees and shipping, started in Novermber. I have a 100% rating that I work hard to keep and excellent feed back from buyers who like how I manage my little enterprise. PayPal has never held any funds until now and the amount is less than totals in the account before. WHY ? HOW DO "THEY" GET AWAY WITH THIS? Who makes the decision to just suddenly withhold MY money from me? I think this is illegal and as I understand a new "policy". Maybe if everyone who has or had this happened to them were to call the "customer service" all on the same day to complain to Mr. Thompson(the co. pres.) they might think this is not a good "policy". I can't pay my bills or shipping because some CEO wants to play with my money. I plan on calling the 800 number as soon as they open on 2/17 today. If they get flooded with complains just maybe they will realise this is NOT how to treat customers. What do you think? Class action lawsuit anyone?

About Craig's List and eBay. Tthere is no love lost between these two companies and they are embroiled in a lawsuit right now as they each sued and counter sued one another. eBay bought 28% share of Craig's List in 2004 and expected to have a director's seat on their board. Craig's list issued more stock to the owners which diluted eBay's shares, eBay did not get a say on the Board of Directors and now their is this law suit.
Interesting that in this case eBay is playing the victim--now how ironic is that. Naybe they should think about us as being victims of eBay's above the law attitude.

That is why on high price items I always ship with insurance. If they are lying about receiving merchandise than they are responsible for mail fraud and you always get your money. (Granted it does take some timeto get your money but it is better than nothing. Yes ebay & paypal are expensive. But as seller's we can do somthing about it. We need to pass these ricuculous fees on to the buyers. Remember we keep feeding the BEAST. The buyers are looking for deals. If they don't find any because of the high fees that we are passing on to them, they won't use ebay. List your item and inform buyers they will be responsible for paying for insurance, closing costs, and additional handling costs. No one seller can do this alone. Spread the word.

so they say:::How it works

5. Post within seven days Post the item within seven days of receiving payment.
6. Accept payments from a single PayPal account Only accept payments in full from a single PayPal account.

How the **bleep** does PayPal expect us to ship our items to the customers when they hold ALL the funds, INCLUDING THOSE FUNDS DESIGNATED FOR SHIPPING?!
PAYPAL, STOP HOLDING MY MONEY FOR NO REASON.
YOU ALREADY CHARGED ME $6+ PER TRANSACTION.
This will be my last paypal transaction, from this point forward its a boycott for life.
