I have been trying to pay for an Ebay item using
my American Express card with PayPal but i always get this message:We were unable
to verify your credit or debit card. To proceed with your
purchase, please
select a different payment method or add a different credit or
debit card,
then click Continue or i get this message:This credit card has been
denied by the bank that issued your credit card. For details on why your
card was denied, please contact your credit card issuer's customer service
department. Or, you may want to try adding a different credit card.My
American Express card is verified.I have sent an email to PAYPAL regarding
this and they said that i should contact my issuing bank and speak with
someone who does online transactions to find out why my American Express
card was denied. I asked my bank and they said that with them everything
is alright,and that they dont know why my American Express card was denied
on PayPal.I also tried shopping with my American Express card on Amazon
without using Pay pal and everything was fine my card was not denied,so this
only happens when i try to pay with PayPal.So my question is why is this happening?Last month
i have bought a lot of things online on my American Express card using
PayPal is this the reason why it gets denied? This only happens with Paypal i have added a Visa card and tried to pay with it but
the same thing happens.I contacted again Paypal regarding this problem and i got this message from them:Unfortunately, after reviewing your PayPal account I can confirm that we
are receiving an error code from your bank when we try to complete your
transactions. The error code says: Transaction refused and we do not
receive any more information as to why it is refused. Since you can use
your card with other online platforms, this might be due to a technical
problem occurring between PayPal server and your bank.You may wish to contact your bank again with this information for more
assistance as we are unable to complete a transaction when the bank refuses
it.I tried to pay again yesterday with PayPal using my American Express card i have clicked many times on the button pay now but the same thing happens,my American Express card is always denied. How come my American Express card gets only denied when i try to make a payment by Paypal ?The amount that i try to pay is not big,with my American Express card everything is alright since i can use it to pay on Amazon without any problems.Can somebody help me please regarding this metter?What do i need to do to fix this problem?

Who else is tired of being bullied by Ebay?

I just found out I can't buy or sell through my PayPal until I get "registered", by that they decided I must give them my personal bank account number, when a credit card backup was just fine for years, the other option was to sign up for PayPal's 19-26% credit card.

When did a valid credit card through MasterCharge become unacceptable? When they see you have purchased and bought at least $10,000 dollars that's when! They lick their chops when that figure pops up.

When I hit that number, which I have worked very hard to keep over 900 purchases and sales at 100% positive feedback. Guess that's not what they care about, they all of a sudden closed my access to PayPal when I had $83.00 left in my account and owed them nothing-zero!

No way to get the $83.00 out, only through a check mailed out within the next two weeks to me from PayPal.

I have had a PayPal debit card for three years with no problems, suddenly it's no good. I couldn't use it to access my account either.

I for one am totally fed up with Ebay and am leaving for good. Their bullying stops today with me anyway. I can't wait for another competitor to show these guys how to treat us with respect. Craigslist here I come.

Well there is another company called eBid yahoo search them and you will find them better and they do not cost a thing to list unless the item sells which is awsome I have sold over 5,000 until someone hacked my account and closed it so now I have to start over
