Seller sent 'FAKE' UGG boots and then shut down his website!

I ordered 2 pair of UGG boots from a website that looked very professional.  I did not know until after the transaction hit PAYPAL that these were from China, and of course, when I got the first pair they were FAKE.  I ordered the 'classic argyle knit' boot for my daughter for christmas.  The photo of the boots on their website looked just identical to the original that are on the UGG austraila website.   When I recieved the boots, the box said size 8, but the tag inside the boots says size '7', I ordered an 8 so these won't fit.  ALSO, they are nothing like the UGG boot I ordered.  The color is not the same, the knit even has little flowers attached... they are disgusting and tacky!!!  Since then, he has closed the website and will not reply to any emails.  I had also ordered a 2nd pair for my granddaughter at the same time. I told him I do not even want him to send these as I know they will also look awful and be FAKE.  IS there anyway I can send the paypal resolution center photos of the 'Real' Ugg boots and of the ones that he sent to me.  Apparently, this is a scam!!!  If not, why won't he respond to me or tell me where his website went????

don't send him no feedback, if you do he will get the money put in a claim against him.

I had already tried to contact him via his email address in paypal.  He did not respond.  I opened a dispute in paypal and they are reviewing the correspondence.  When I opened the dispute he kept telling me to send him photos of the boots and of the box that showed the size which was wrong and then he kept telling me he didn't get the photos.  I escalated the claim in paypal and I also contacted my credit card company and have opened a claim with them as well.  Just makes my blood boil that he could scam like this, wonder how many others he has done this to.  Thanks for the advice!!

Your credit card company may require you to return the boots. Has your credit card company contacted you about your dispute?

Regarding PayPal...

PayPal has two programs to help protect buyers... the Buyer Protection Policy and the Buyer Complaint Policy.

The PayPal Buyer Protection Policy applies to eligible eBay transactions and covers INR (Item Not Received) and SNAD (Significantly Not As Described) claims. When a buyer wins a Buyer Protection Claim, PayPal will reimburse the buyer up to the protection amount ($200.00 or $2,000.00 or uncapped) specified in the eBay listing regardless whether the funds are available in the seller's PayPal account.

The PayPal Buyer Complaint Policy applies to non-eBay transactions and eBay transactions which don't qualify for PayPal Buyer Protection. The PayPal Buyer Complaint Policy covers only INR claims... SNAD claims are not covered. When a buyer wins a Buyer Complaint Claim, PayPal will reimburse the buyer ONLY if the funds are available in the seller's PayPal account.

The policy specifics are at the following link...

I ordered a pair a few days ago and never received an order confirmation number from the seller - which makes me nervous AND yes, after all was said and done turned out to be a Japanese seller. I tried going back onto the website and guess what?? it wasn't there.

Come on....obviously this is a scam as you can clearly see.  Do you really think these scammers are going to leave money in their paypal accounts so it can be taken away??  They are smart, they know they have scammed us and there is nothing we can do about it.  I think that more information should be given about the seller before the paypal transaction is finalized.  If I would have know ahead of time that this was going to China, I would not have ordered!!

I just bought 2 pair of Uggs from uggwebsite.com...they arrived the wrong size and they are so fake they look like they will fall apart! I tried contacting seller and no reply.  When I tried to dispute it through paypal they said they can't help me.  They said they only help on ebay items.  I asked why they had paypal on this fraud site? They said they will remove it.  BUT HELLO??? I've been scammed and they can't help me! I am so angry I have boots that wont fit my daughter now and I'm out the cash...!!! Did anyone get their money back? How can Paypal do this to us? I used paypal so I would be protected!

PAYPAL was useless when I tried to stop the transaction after everything turned into Chinese… I did call my credit card company (the one linked to my PAYPAL acct) and they said they could help but not until after I received the order (or not received the order).

To my GREAT surprise the boots I got were exactly what I thought I'd ordered, right size, right color and seem to be genuine (came with tags, Uggs insert information pamphlets) Only thing that seemed out of the ordinary was that the box, while being an Ugg box was turned inside out.

I am taking this as a lesson learned and will never order them on-line unless it's from a retail store chain.

Good Luck, and I hope you get your $$$ back.

I feel the same way as you... I AM FURIOUS and PAYpal and they just sent me their 'decision' that they could do nothing!!  Just curious, when you used paypal to send this jerk the money, what was his name or email. Just wondering if it is the same as the one I used.  I bought 2 pair, out $181 .  These were supposed to be presents for my daughters.

The Website was "Ugg2s.com" the payment went to "SoBeautyCho" .

Some people are such dirty dogs, I am sorry about the gifts - it is so completely wrong.

And then PayPal which we use a safety allows it to happen.
