On Line Auctions

When I saw that PayPal was the payment method for online auction Naxopresence I thought it would be legit.   Anyway long story short, I have never been scammed on line before and am very cautious about ordering but this company is definitely a scam and Pay Pal should never be involved with it.  I feel very stupid that I fell for the scam...you bid on items with either manual or robot bids and think you are actually bidding but I am positive that as soon as the timer runs down to the last second, they have their own robots or other methods to outbid you..  If you do the computations, the items supposedly are selling for 10x to 100x their value.  I think that all they want is money and that no one who is a legit bidder wins.. I would say to stay away from this company in particular but maybe all online auctions are scams and I would NEVER go onto one of their websites again.  I am beginning to think that Pay Pay does not due their due diligence when they sign up vendors and will be very careful in the future.

I fell in to the same trap.  At first I started using my credit card to get "credits" and prior to the charge I was informed that I had a Paypal account and asked if I would like to use my Paypal account.  This added to the legitamacy for me and I said YES.  Within 5 min I was out of "credits" not knowing I was being charged a "credit" or dollar per bid.  Could you imagine Ebay charging one dollar per bid.  Oh, yes, on top of that if you bid they also add 20 or 30 seconds to the auction end time.  Wait, with these rules, auctions may never end  Each time you bid, even if it is in the last second, more time is added and the auction goes on, more bid and more importantly more money>>> Paypal should be ashamed to be associated with this site.  Oh, by the by, this site shows a gold Paypal seal insuring quality and safety.  Go ahead check it out www.bidfun.com.  Don't open account.  When you go to account tab the only link is "close account" gee wonder why???

Beware and shame on Paypal!!!!!

You guys just didn't understand the system.

They use robot bids - that's the equivalence of snipers on ebay - they CAN come in at the last second and you can be looking at bids that were placed days before then end.

I'm sure if you read the User Agreement carefully, the $1 per bid charge is in there.

I've seen that type of site - it's not a scam, but I wouldn't want to use it.
