Okay, even though I've had my paypal account for a while, I still don't know how to use it I guess! Here's the story...I sell Avon out of my home and also online. And how my online store works is when someone new logs in to Avon, the system automatically matches them with a seller. I received a message from someone wanting to buy from me-out of state-and after 5 emails, they finally agree to pay with paypal instead of check or money order. I figured this to be pretty safe for me...but this morning I received a payment confirmation from paypal; Only when I log into my account there is no activity at all...Also, this email says that the buyer has payed extra for shipping and they want me to forward the extra through western union to the buyers agent(she's supposed to be a model) Now, I'm not usually a gullible person, and I will admit that I've been scammed before(through the mail last time) But this just sounds off to me. I mean, if they have payed me then why is my account showing no activity? I tried the help center already, so if anyone can help me here it would be much appreciated! Thanks!!!

It's a scam! I have heard others tell the same story about the "model". Do not sell to this customer. If it walks like a duck, talks like a duck... It must be a duck! Same rule applies to scams. If it looks like a scam, smells like a scam... They could be from Nigeria. Becareful whatever you do.

Scam.
When folks want to pay more than you're asking, that's a RED flag.

That was a good thing that you first logged-in directly to your PayPal account to verify if the funds were there. Anyone with a few computer skills can send out a fake PayPal payment confirmation email, so never click on any of the bogus links in those spoof emails.
