I need a custom Buy It Now

I need a custom Buy It Now for my products.  I tried creating the buttons then modifying them myself but they're not working.  I keep getting an error saying that something is wrong with the seller's site.

The code is below if anyone can fix it for me.  The live not-working version can be seen on my site below and shows you the options I need:

www.wedding-favor-bookmarks.com/fairytale-designs-bookmarks.html

I really need this fixed ASAP.  I haven't had any one email me to say they can't buy from my site but that's not to say people aren't just leaving and looking elsewhere.

Thanks!

I was actually just getting ready to come in and mark my post as Resolved because I fixed them all myself.  And yes, you can modify a Buy It Now PayPal code as long as you know some html and know how the codes work, per say.

In other words, PayPal's system only allows you 10 fields when you generate the button, but you can use Notepad and add more options.  So for example, I have 35 options for verse selections; the generated code allows me 10.  I just go into Notepad and add the rest of the options manually and voila, I now have a drop-down menu with 35 options and they all work.

You just have to be very careful that ou don't mess up the important, crucial parts of the generated code, which is what I erroneously did.  When I updated a few things on my pages, I kind of messed up the code but didn't realize it and couldn't figure out how to fix it.

Soooo, yeah, I had to go back to scratch, generate one "global" code, then modify it for each page/product category.  And they're all tested and working fine, just the way they're supposed to be.

So now, how do I mark this issue as resolved? Smiley Wink

Asking for help ASAP is a bit much as your item button must be recreated from scratch.   Note, many forum members are volunteers, not PAID employees.   Also note, one should always test their code BEFORE going live to ensure that everything is working as intended

It would appear that you attempted to modify a "hosted" item button after it was initially created.  The online button creator generates "hosted" item button code by default, has an item inventory feature and limits you to a maximum of 1,000 saved item code buttons.   In addition specific variables are stored on PayPal's Servers which in turn provides tamper proof protection.   It's important to understand that you cannot edit or modify "hosted" item button code after it has been created.   In addition,  for Buy Now type item buttons, the online button creator will only allow you to include two options.   As your Buy Now item button has 8 options, I would have to assume you manually included the additional options.

What you need to do is start over as you need to manually create your item button code.  Check out this example for some ideas on how to recreate your item button.   It should help you to get going in the right direction.
