I am interested in purchasing an item from an independent source (no store front). I see many people on here who have been ripped off and PayPal was of no help. Before I actually send money to someone, are there precautions I can take to make sure that PayPal refunds me if things go wrong? Any help on what documentation I would need to protect myself would be appreciated.
