I want to know you're experiences with this hold policy. I have sold multiple items on eBay and I always get a tracking number when I ship an item. I have confirmation that the items have been delivered but I still have holds on the money. I have also added the tracking numbers to paypal and to eBay. I have not however received any feedback yet. It has only been a few days since the items have been delivered but I want to know if I'm going to have to wait the full 20 day hold or if anyone has experience with this and can tell me how long it takes. I am also experiencing a hold! So frustrating, I don't want to ues PayPal again at this point. I sold an expensive item on ebay nad it has been 18 days. I contacted PayPal a week ago and my email went un-answered. I provided tracking on PayPal and eBay, it's been 18 days and no complain so far and I don't see why there would be one unless the buyer tries something shady. What is the hold up? There has to be a better way.
Very interesting threads. I have been away **bleep** . I sold something this morning and I checked my Pay Pal account, and the 12.50 item has already entered my account for funds. I guess the little items have "NO INTEREST" in them.
What a load of crap, Ive only sold a couple things on Ebay over the years so not real familiar with the process. I recently sold I hight dollar item, received an email that payment had been receiced and to ship the item. When I check paypal it says funds are pending due to it being a high risk item. Its at that time if find out that I should have gotten delivery confirmation. I had sent it Priority mail and insured it just like I had in the past not knowing anything about the new policy. I receive an emial from the individual that purchased it, he receivced it and had a couple questions about how to operate it. I then as him to leave a positive feedback if he is happy with it or he can send it back for a refund. I have not heard anything from him nor has he left feedback. Now Im **bleep**ed having to wait 3 weeks for my money.
When Paypal sends out the emails saying funds have been received and to ship, they should also inform you that you need delivery confirmation and or Pos Feedback or you money will be held for 21 days. This is really needed for new sellers who dont know enough about the process. Wont make these mistakes again
normally, you should upload the tracking numbers (if there's any) to the transaction details. once the status showed "DELIVERED" PayPal system will release the funds after 3 days. In case there's no tracking number or feedback left, you may call PayPal's hotline. the 21-day hold period is the worst case scenario.
you may contact eBay to check your eBay records & see if you can be exempted with the hold policy.
If had known that you really need the tracking I would have done that, Paypal doesent tell you that until after the fact. I hadnt sold anything for years and never new there was a change. I guess I should have thought of that in the first place, just never crossed my mind. Ill do things differently next time, If I have to wait 3 weeks Id rather get a money order, wait for it to clear, then send the package
these people are nuts i recieved an email stating my good seller habits have allowed them to lift my payment holds and yet my next 3 payments are being held.....WTF !!!!!!!!!!!! i am done with paypal when i get my account emptied
