Well it's sad paypal has did it, i've had my beefs before do mostly to No Seller protection, as it is almost anyone can file a dispute and get there money **bleep**ing over the seller who in turn has to prove there casie while a buyer walks away free but paypal his did it with me, Now they can hold my money until a buyer is happy? So if i sell a $100 item + shipping and it all goes into paypali not only have to ship it and put up the cost of shipping out of my pocket while but they can hold the money for 30 days? i'm not rich person i can 't sit and front shipping costs for a month while waiting on it to be relised, the reason i used paypal was to get the money faster, soon as it cleared i could turn around and use my paypal card to ship the item. I know buyers need a level of protection i've been on the other side before and had to ask form my money back but were does it end. Just last summer someone bought a used item for me listed as is no returns the buyer had it for 23 days broke it and decided he wanted his money back, i couldn't prove it had shipped so guess what they gave it to him. And yet we are charged the Fee for getting our money, if your going to let the buyer walk under a shield of we can do what we want then lets start making them pay a fee for sending money!! time for a little fair trade off, how about if a buyer gets an item they must show just cause for a refund such as proof the item was broken or not as described, Looks like it's good bye paypal for me and back to snail mail and money orders, i'm not going to sell an item i know i can't be paid for for a good 30 days.

Goodbye, person who cannot spell and apparently doesn't bother to read agreements they make, either.
100 people have already signed up in your place.
Have a nice life.

surplusdealdude your nothing but a jerk! you know what? I'm done also…. but I'm not leaving quietly I am going to let everyone know that Craiglist.org is a much better place to sell due to Ebay and Paypal policies! You don’t think it will matter when Ebay stocks start to go down! I pay Ebay and Paypal around a thousand dollars a month but if they don’t care about me then so be it! I am done and I am going to take others with me I will make it a mission to help let people know of the scams aloud on ebay! I hope they do believe it doesn’t matter how many sellers they lose because that WILL BE THE END OF THEM!! Craigslist.org will take over.. where ITS FREE TO LIST!! Please everyone start using it more, lets stand up to these two companies, whoops I mean one giant company letting scammers steal under their failed policies!

surplusdealdude does have a VALID POINT. Everyone willingly chose to agree to the Paypal agreement with this hold part being included.
Now many are mad because because Paypal is doing the holds that they knew could happen. I am not happy about it either but I agreed to that so I deal with it.I always plan to have shipping money if there is a hold on my transaction. Eventually I will get my money.
And as surplusdealdudestated - for every seller that leaves there are more new sellers joining everyday.Same with buyers.
Good luck with Craigslist. It may be a better choice for you. That is is your decision and I wish you the best.

Atari is still around;
And you can do whatever you want, OP. You're not going to affect Paypal and ebay in the slightest.
craigslist IS a good site, but their use is limited to your immediate market. ebay and Paypal are world-wide - it's a different animal.
I would actually PREFER to see the people that don't want to take the time and effort to learn what they're doing go somewhere else - a stupid or uneducated seller is a liability to all of the other sellers on ebay.
So, please, go be someone else's problem - take as many of the ranters here with you as you can.
You're making ebay a better place to do business.
Have a nice life.

I think some people might have Ebay and Paypal mixed up? I have no problem with Ebay they have made there procedure clear but I will be looking for more options to use than just Paypal. Thanks to Ebay I have found some other options to use for payment . I need to learn how to take advantage of Ebay, Paypal and Craigslist. You need to read the posts a little bit closer before you open your stupid or uneducated mouth!

I think a large part of the problems here is that too many people do not realize that Paypal means EXACTLY what it says in the User Agreement.
They keep expecting that Paypal will make a special rule for them or not enforce an existing rule, that Paypal will "give them a break".
It isn't going to happen.
Paypal enforces the details of the User Agreement precisely. If you follow the agreement, you'll win your disputes. If you don't, you won't.
It's as simple as that.

That isn't how simple it is. I have 20 buyer transactions with 100% positive feedback. About 3 weeks ago I sold a video card to a person. It had never been used and it was BRAND NEW in the box. Still had the plastic wrap. The buyer responds to a weeks worth of emails from myself, asking him about his products that I was interested in buying. He tells me he appreciates me understanding that it took him over a wekk to pay for the card. Of course, after I left him positive feedback and explained my situation I then asked him to leave me some positive feedback for the transaction. After that, he completely lost touch with me and never answered another email after that. Now if he **bleep** ups the video card and fries it somehow, he pretty much automatically wins. Now I thought the fact that I had paid extra for him to sign for prove he recieved the card, and not recieving a complaint for 7 days after, should be enough to pay me my money.
Does anyone have any advice for me as to what I can do to get these funds sooner. How many positive transactions must I have to stop Paypal from holding my funds? If anyone would be willing to provide me with a link it would be greatly appreciated.
