Funds put on hold during random security review.

16 days ago I sent $30 dollars to the seller for an item which I have already received.

The day after I sent the money, the funds where withdrawn from his Sellers account an put on hold during what payapal described as a random security review? I was asked to verify my account details to prove my account had not been compromised, which I did.

It's now 16 days and 2 emails later an the funds still haven't been released back to the seller?

I was told 10 days ago payapl would fix this.

Does paypal understand this is not their money to endlessly hold?

It's now been 18 days since I've made my payment to the seller, who is still waiting on Paypal to relelase the funds?

I have to wonder how much money paypal makes by holding funds for their bogus internal security check? It was completed 2 weeks ago but they still haven't released the funds.

They have done the same thing to me. I sold 3 items on eBay and I offered free shipping. Well the money I planned on using to use the shipping labels I was gonna use with the winning money, but they held it and they took the 9.99 out of my ZERO BALANCE bank account and now I have a -160 USD balance from the over draws! This is not fair!

The OP's was an account security review...yours is under the 21 day hold.

Your funds are held up to 21 days.  Funds are released sooner when the buyer leaves feedback OR the shipping d/c shows delivery.

You authorized paypal to take the $9.99 from you bank account.  When you printed the labels it showed wher the funds wwere coming from.
