What does removed mean on a transaction status?

Hi all! Hope you can help....

Had a strange one this evening; a customer from Ebay for some reason opened a dispute against us, then escalated it to a claim and then cancelled it. I cannot find out what their problem was. When I look in the resolution centre it says it is a non-receipt claim. I have not had the time, however, to refute this since this all happend today between 18.56 and 22.01. If they had given me time to respond I would have shown them the tracking details, online info about when they received the goods and who signed for them.

The upshot is, though, that Paypal have 'removed' the money from my account that the customer paid at the beginning of the month...... Just when am I safe from such actions??

I hope and pray that there will be some way I can get my money back but each time something like this happens - and it is getting more frequent (usually though the situation is that they temporarily hold funds because they seem to think there is something dodgy with the buyer's bank account - but still I have to take the time and trouble to prove I sent the goods).

Does anyone here know what 'removed' is supposed to mean? 'Louise' doesn't (the paypal robot!) - she just goes round in circles asking me what the transaction status wording is. And the list of words relating to transaction does not include 'removed'. I just want to know where I stand.

Disgruntled from Didsbury!?!

Sounds as if the funding source the seller used to fund the refund has failed eg no funds in their bank account.

Have you filed a dispute for non receipt of item?

I sold an item on oct 13 got paid, and then i just noticed that on oct 17th it says REMOVED. I had a decent amount of money in my paypal account, so if they took out 68 dollars which the guy paid for his item, i wouldnt have noticed it. but today i noticed REMOVED. did they give him a refund???? confused.

Hello. More than likely yes. I recently sold 40 PS3 games to a person who has a pawn shop. I received payment notification that that person paid so I immediately shipped item.  Soon after the trading showed that item arrived at their address I received notice from PayPal that they were disputing that they never authorized payment.  So their bank gave them back their money and then PayPal took it from me.  This buyer took advantage of a loop hole and since they could not say they didn't receive item in order to get a refund they instead said they never authorized payment.  So basically they got their money back plus they kept the games I sold him which I'm sure they are selling to makes money since they own a pawn shop.  PayPal has now said they are releasing back my money but said they couldn't remove it from saying that there is an open case until they resolve this with that bank that refunded back that (in my opinion, dishonest) pawn shops money. I sure hope PayPal doesn't change their mind and again take my money.  I'm just an honest seller like you and I did nothing wrong yet thieves and dis nest people that certain buyers can lie and steal from others.  I hope you don't end up losing money yourself.
