EBay sale cancelled, what do i have to do, to issue a refund?

I listed a large item on a EBay auction and listed it for collection only.

The highest bidder did not read the description and wants the item to be shipped. I explained this was not possible so has agreed to cancel the order.

Within EBay I cancelled the order, with the reason being 'buyers request'.

The order status on EBay now states 'Thanks. You refunded the buyer using PayPal on 28 February 2018. We'll let you know as soon as the refund is complete'.

I have not received and further communication from EBay, and when looking at my PayPal account there is no information regarding this refund transaction.

So, my questions are:-

1) How long should this process take?

2) Do I have to do anything else?

3) Will PayPal collect the funds automatically from my bank account?

Thanks

Hi gingerhairs,

Thank you for contacting the PayPal Community Forum and welcome as a new member!

Your question is very account specific and we would be unable to tell you why this has happened over a public forum. I would suggest contacting us via Facebook - https://www facebook.com/PayPalUK/, Twitter - @AskPayPal., email or phone and we would be happy to advise.
