I got a chargeback for £400-ish, and after being on the phone with Paypal and reviewing the transaction, I felt confident I would come out on top. I had it told to me that I was elegible for seller protection, and that Paypal would do everything they could.
Today I log in and find out that the chargeback updated to a reversal in my favor - Then that reversal was cancelled?
What kind of game is Paypal playing where they tell people that they are fine and covered for seller protection over the phone (I rang them twice) and then turn around and cancel that reversal? I've provided more than enough proof, tracking, even going out of my way to provide evidence from the company distributing the goods originally that the buyer now owns the item I sold. (Which was a card with a code on it, but I sent the tangible item).
I really feel let down. The fact this got updated then cancelled really grinds my gears. I tried so hard to protect myself from this and even bought in a few third company parties, even the police (The buyer is a fraudster and there's open proof of that now), and still nothing seems to be done. Upset, angry and frustrated are words that don't really begin to cover how I feel right now.
Or am I reading the situation wrong?
