UNAVAILABLE FUNDS???

I changed my primary e mail address because it was no longer available because I had moved house and had to change internet provider.Now all my payments/funds are unavailable? Is paypal now seeing me as a new member???

Have now lost one sale and am being asked for refund!!!

what do you mean by unavailable?

are they on a new seller hold?

All it says is unavailable in funds received.When i click this it says about creteria to be met re being a new paypal member/user but I am not,have just updated my primary e mail address,that is all.

Ok,when I click on "unavailable" it says funds available date will shown soon,and then gos on about sending items etc,also in the hour glass icon it says payment was iniciated on 23 feb and is being processed by paypal.Why,I am not a new member,been useing and tradeing for some time.And recently had to provide proof of I.D because of E.U regulations and needed to lift my limits.If I need to ship and provide tracking can do,but has money been paid and paypal holding funds?And has changing my primary e mail address the reason for this new member restrictions???

Can  you do this for me first.

Go and find the transaction in your “my ebay” > click to the right where it says sell similar > don't fill in anything just scroll down to the payments section > look in the paypal box > is the email addy in there correct with no spelling mistakes or the old one? If so then it would have been wrong on your finished auctions so come back for more advice.

Well well,you may have just solved it.Did exactly as you suggested and in the paypal box it still has the old e mail address!

I did dispatch a order today and after adding tracking number it now says payment will be made 15/3/2015.Obviously would like to get back to instant payments,so how do I change that box??? many thanks for your help so far of course.

Firstly can you add that email addy to your paypal account, as you can have up to 8 on the one account.
If you can add and verify it then the payments should come through.

If not then you need to contact your buyers and ask them to see what it says in there paypal accounts either:


1. Unclaimed with a cancel option.
2. Unclaimed.
3 Completed.


If its:
Unclaimed with a cancel option.

Then ask them to cancel the payment but tell them that it will take a few days to go back to their funding source if they funded their original payment with a debit or credit card. Then get them to use the "send money" > Goods option and pay to your email address. Tell them DO NOT use the ebay option or it will direct them to ebay checkout and the same thing will happen.

Unclaimed.

If there is no cancel option then the buyer will get their money back automatically 30 days after paying if it remains unclaimed. If it changes to completed they need to come here for advice. You will need to sort out between you if you want to still go ahead with the sale or cancel it.

Completed.

If its completed then come back for more advice.


Then next time you list an item for sale change the email addy during the listing process and check everytime.

Also to help you sort things with your buyers you can pull their contact info if its an ebay transaction. Go to advanced search top of ebay pages > contact member left column > fill in the details and ebay will send you an email with their telephone number.

Right have added the old e mail addy to paypal account.However can not verify because I no longer have access to that address.

Have advised two buyers and asked for imfo re what it says for payments.

I have now gone through all my outher listings and all but two have changed the e mail addy to new primary one.Two I couldnt change because they have bids.But have advised the bidders and asked them not to make a payment.Have the option to end the sale but will be charged for this.

Unfortunatley because I thought it may help,I sent the first sale off today and after entering tracking number it changed from unavailable to a payment date.Thought Iwould just wait for payment but now have received an e mail to new primary e mail addy that I have to claim payment at the old e mail addy.As I have said am unable to do this as I can not access.Presumabley this means the payment will now go unclaimed and be returned to buyer?

Have also printed postage labels,but not sent goods for two outhers.This has changed both unavailables to a payment dates,but assume will now get a futher two "claim it" e mails to old e mail addy???

Sorry if I have complecated things but thought it would help.Do appreciate your help though!
