Payment reversal

1st time i have ever had this happen to me, and i'm not happy.

some chap purchased a vinyl from me, then opened up a paypal dispute the exact same day. unknown to me i posted the item two days later.

i noticed the payment was being held, then replied to the dispute stating this. he never opened a ebay dispute, he never replied to my message either.

i have proof of postage, and yet they refunded him his money.

why????

The only way paypal can know if a buyer received their item or not is via a tracking number that proves delivery of the item to the buyer.

Proof of postage just means its been posted and if it gets lost in the post then the buyer should be refunded.

I tend to send anything over a certain value trackable but anything under that I take the risk but if it goes missing then i just refund the buyer as it was my risk and not theirs.
