I sent an item to a buyer on 10/2/15, the buyer is claiming I never sent the item. I have proof of postage and have a feeling that I am being scammed. I am unable to contact the buyer because they have given me fake details and since deleted their profile on the app (Depop) that they purchased from me, thinking back on it they were also very pushy about the sale of the item. I am very annoyed that even though I have proof there is no where I can find to upload this.
I have tried contacting Paypal but only received automated responses, I don't know what I can do. My only option on the resolution centre is to refund the money and if I dont Paypal will take it from me anyway! I can't even claim from Royal Mail because something isn't classed as lost until 15 days after sent. The buyer waited 6 days after sent before escalating a claim, very rushed like he was planning on doing this. I honestly feel this guy isn't genuine but I am suffering for it. No idea what I can do.
Hope someone can help!

Once the buyer has escalated the dispute to a claim you have another 10 days before paypal find for the buyer OR the item arrives and the claim closed.
If you want to contact paypal then >>>
Click on the words "Contact" at the bottom of your paypal account summary > click on the "call us" option on the left (fees "may" apply so check the cost with your phone tariff first, as you sometimes have to wait a while to connect).
When you get through don't select any options just hang on till you get transfered to an agent or say the word "agent".
OR have you considered contacting Customer Service via Facebook or Twitter?
It's: https://www.facebook.com/PayPalUK and @AskPayPal for Twitter.
Advice is voluntary.
Kudos / Solution appreciated.

Thank you for your reply. Since posting I have found 2 other users who have been scammed by the same person with the same kind of item so this is not a one off. I know they will not close the case if the items arrives as I am pretty sure they have it but are taking advantage of Paypal siding with a buyer on matters like these.
