recieving refund after opening an issue report

I opened an issue report and now the seller has said they have processed a refund but i havent recieved anything from paypal to tell me they have issued this refund... Do i need to resolve the issue before paypal will let me have the refund or is the company lying about having issued the refund?

If you mean that you opened a dispute for item not received then if the seller had refunded you then it would have automatically closed the dispute.

If the dispute is still open and you have not received a paypal email to say that your refund had been issued then they have not sent it.
