money on hold

I made paypal so my friend can send me some money fast and online, however there was no friends and familiy option available to him and he just sent me as if he was buying something from me. My money is now on hold and I have marked the service as processed which my friend also confirmed trough email. However money is still on hold and I am just wondering is it going to be released soon or i would have to wait 7-14 days for it.

Can't help you as you have not said what country you are in or what country he is in.

I would guess UK as this is the UK forum but if thats the case he would have had a friends / family option which you say he did not.
