funding source

I am trying to send a payment to a friend and it wont let me change the funding source to my bank account, the friend does not accept card payments. I have sent money before via my bank account as the funding source but today my card is automatically coming up and i cant change it

Hi karlrichards and welcome, 

I am sorry to hear that you are unable to choose your bank account as a funding source. Is your bank showing as confirmed? If so then it should be an option to use to send your payment. It may be that our internal security system is not allowing it be used as a funding source. All payments that are sent on PayPal are checked and reviewed by our internal security system before being sent. There are times where it may decline the use of a certain funding source if it deems there may be a risk involved. If you haven't managed to send your payment as of yet I would suggest to keep trying the payment. It can sometimes decline are certain funding source and if you try again later that day or the following day it may give it as an option again.
