Should I be using Paypal or ebay to resolve a refund issue

I bought 2 pairs of boots from an ebay shoe shop/seller paid via paypal, they were way too small even though they were my size so I returned them. I have the posting receipts but sent them Standard class and not recorded delivery (as the cost was high enough standard). The boots did not arrive back at the shop, I have provided the post office receipt for sending, but as it was not trackable they will not refund me. I have raised a dispute with ebay and they saod they would look into it for me, that was 8 days ago. Should I be taking a dispute up via Paypal too? Cheers all.

Hi nandrews99. eBay items should be dealt with on eBay. U can't open a dispute for the same issue on ppal as well. Get a claim form from the post office if u have proof of posting. Always put your address on the back of parcels so if undelivered can be returned back to u. Contact eBay live chat for support.

Thank you for your reply and I shall contiue the process with ebay. For ref, the compensation from Royal Mail is 4 first class stamps (so about 2% of my spend) and I did put my senders details on the parcel and it has not come back. Not a great experience so far really. Thanks anyway, N.
