Paypal overcharged me on fees?

Hi all,

I received a payment for a service of £208.00. Paypal fee is £11.43. I just read that paypal fees are 3.4% plus 20p. This seems more like 5.5%?? Am I missing something here? Now I don't know how much percentage to tell people to add on?!

Hey, yes it was an international payment. Though I thought the sender is charged the currency conversion fees? So does this mean for all international payments I need to charge an extra 5.5%?

They charged me 10% to sell my tickets yet the website says they only charge 2.9%.  Where/What/Why the extra 7.1% charges??  Can ANYONE help me?  I've spent hours trying to contact Paypal but I'm getting NOWHERE!!!!!!!

Buyer pays currency conversion and you pay a cross border fee.

Fees are listed in the user agreement but depend on which country the payment was sent from.

Can be as high as 4.9% + a fixed fee.

Ok thanks for the info. I guess I will just have to add 5.5% on all international payments from now on.

My mistake.  It was Stub Hub that ripped me off.  They charged 10% to sell my tickets but NOWHERE on the website did they state this.  THIEFS!!!  I'll never use that **bleep** site again!!!!
