Fees

I sold an item on Shpok for £20 and the buyer lives in the uk. They transferred the money to my paypal account. I received the £20 but there was a 88p fee attached so I only received £9.12.

Is the correct because I have never had fees before when people send money the same way?

Any help will be appreciated

Not sure how you have not had a fee before because if a buyer is paying you then you ALWAYS pay a fee per transaction.

In the UK its 3.4% + 20p.

Yea no fees before, like the day before this one I received £10 and no fee was taken off.

ok then that payment must have been sent using the family / friends option and not the goods / services option.

But you are not allowed to send or receive payment for goods that way for buying or selling, if you do then you risk your paypal account being limited as paypal do not like being done out of their FEES   Smiley Wink

No I didn't say you did, the rule applies to buyer OR seller.

So if the buyer ''sent'' payment that way then they are at fault and not you and they risk their account being limited.

If you asked for payment that way then you would be at fault.

I was not accusing you, just saying how it works.
