EBay/PayPal transaction issues

To say I'm totally fed up with PayPal already (first time user) is an understatement.

Sold 2 items on eBay. Buyers paid, but money was put "on hold". Items sent and have been recieved by the buyer, they have left feedback on eBay to tell me how happy they are. Funds still on hold. Checked the transaction, I have to wait a week for one payment to clear, two weeks for the other. Is that a JOKE?

First payment was meant to clear today, HASN'T, now it says the estimated date is January 1970. Seriously? Is PayPal kidding?

Finally, try to sort in the resolution centre, but apparently I have to speak to the buyer about the transaction.

So basically, it's a week after the items were sold, I'm out of pocket, the buyers have the stuff I sold and I'm no closer to getting my money.

Any advice?

Ebay new seller hold.
Ebay and Paypal are 2 separate companies and have 2 separate policies for holding funds for new sellers.
If yours was an Ebay transaction then its an Ebay hold and Ebay authorise when paypal can release the funds.
This is the new seller hold that every single seller on Ebay has or will go through.
Also Ebay feedback has no bearing on payment release. Normally for the Ebay hold its when tracking shows the item as delivered + 3 days if you use Ebay / paypal postage.

Info in this Ebay link below about Ebays hold.
