Buyers address incorrect?

Hi, I have received payment (5 days later!) for an item on ebay and upon checking the address it doesnt look right, i have contacted the buyer twice to clarify but they are not getting back to me and im not sure whether to send the item to the address on their paypal or the one the royal mail says is correct?! Basically they've missed the word "close" from the first line of their address and instead of Thamesmead have written "Thesamead". If i send it to what they have confirmed (technically wrong) will i be held liable if they dont receive it? Thanks!

Hi Mel_w,

Welcome to the community forum and thanks for posting.

In order to be protected by our Seller Protection Policy ( https://www.paypal.com/webapps/mpp/paypal-safety-and-security ) you would need to ship the item to the address provided in the PayPal transaction. If there is a tiny difference we would of course take this into account but to be safe I would not recommend shipping the item without confirmation from the buyer. What you would be best to do in this case is refund the transaction if the buyer does not get back to you. That way if they choose to make the payment again they will be able to update the address so that it is correct. This is how to refund the payment if you wish to take that course of action https://www.paypal.com/uk/selfhelp/article/how-do-i-issue-a-refund-faq760/1 .

I hope this helps.
