This isn't so much a review as it is a question as to whether I'm being scammed or not. Here's the situation.
I am buying a airsoft gun from a guy off of a forum. He has no posts and seems to have created an account just to sell. I'm normally wary of those types but its a good deal. I get the money and send it to his paypal (which was also created on the same day I originally emailed him now that I think about it). He says he received it but paypal is giving him problems so he tells me to request a refund and he'll give me his other paypal info and I can resend it then.
I haven't had paypal long and I've mostly used to to buy from stores, ebay, etc. So I search on how to send a refund and it tells me that he should be able to simply click a "give refund" button and all's well. He tells me, however, to open a dispute and escalate it to a claim. I escalated to a claim with the reason being "he told me to in order to give a refund". I'm getting an odd feeling that something isn't quiet right and I'm hoping someone can give me some advice before proceeding.
What I'll probably end up doing if he refunds me is telling him this is too much of a hassle and ending all talks but I'm wary of him being able to open a claim on me for backing out or not paying or some such.
So anyone got some advice?
