I received an email and when I try to open the email is locks up my outlook and then opens a window with the following "\\102.112.207.net\6\ss\PAYPALGLOBAL\1\G.4-NS". this will keep happening until I am able to click off the email.
Any ideas as to what is going on.

I get the same - very frustrating. Started yesterday (13th Oct) & was hoping it would be fixed today. The email does eventually load if you give it enough time but you cannot use Outlook until it's loaded. Sort it out Paypal!

Hi All,
Suggestion. You don't need to open the mail.
Open PayPal and it will match the info you can see in you inbox and the email address from the customer.
Process the order as normal using PayPal.
The email can be moved to a folder by right clicking on the mail. Then move to folder option in the menu. Pick the folder where you want it to go.
At this point you can mark it read at the same time.
I hope this helps.

Hi,
I agree that we don't have to open the mail. It would be nice however, if we didn't have to change the way we work with Outlook, just because Paypal's messages are corrupted...!
Anyway, I hope that this suggestion doesn't lead Paypal to assume that the problem is solved...

Boy am I glad that I found this topic.. Have just spent a couple of hours today trying to find out what is wrong with my Outlook 2010. Finally narrowed it down to the two PayPal payment notifications I received this morning and decided to look on line to see if there was a known problem.
It's no good saying that we don't have to open the mail. If it happens to be the first one in the inbox when you go to it, Outlook tries to preview it and hangs.
You wouldn't imagine that it would take more than a few minutes to sort this out. I hope it's done before I receive any more from them.

To suggest that a reasonable resolution to this is to not open your email is ridiculous.
If you are a large business with hundreds of orders (especially coming up to Christmas) you will have a nightmare working from the paypal website direct!
This needs sorting urgently.

Unfortunately for me...same problem but I need to forward the PayPal payment notification to my fulfillment house for hte product. So I can't just "not read or open it".
How can you change the format of the emails you receive from PayPal to plain text? Someone mentioned it but not sure how.
Thank goodness I found that it wasn't just me!

It's crashing all email clients, not just Outlook. My Incredimail is hanging on Paypal emails too
