Recently, every time I buy something from e-Bay, I'm sent this fake email "from" UPS, USPS, or Fedex containing some wierd zip file attachment, claiming that it's going to tell me where my item is. I'm smart enough to know that you can just view the tracking number on the website, but I'm sure a lot of people would just click on it because:
A: It comes a day or two after you buy something
B: The shipping service is always accurate (Fedex, UPS, or USPS)
C: Some of them are pretty official looking (sometimes they're really cheezy though)
I'd like to see either eBay or Paypal warning people against the fact that SHIPPING SERVICES DON'T SEND ATTACHMENTS, DUH! Kind of like the way Craigslist warns against spam & fraudulent activities every time you click on certain categories (like cars&trucks). I realize that this is probably more eBay's responsibility, but their really difficult to communicate with unless you jump in and report someone which I don't really want to do, especially when they're still sending me the item(s) I bought. Plus, the only way I can figure them getting my e-mail address is from the Paypal account I used to pay them with.
