Hi everyone!
I am curious if there is a way to avoid huge charges on small sales. If I sell something on eBay for $0.99 - my fee is $0.33, so the end amount I get is only $0.66 - that's sad... Is there a way not get get chopped off that much of what you make with smaller eBay sales?
Thanks!

This would be more of a eBay question, PayPal only charges (I Think) near 3% (not exact but estimate) eBay also charges a Fee, I do think they have specials available for auctions starting at 0.99cents - but they will ALWAYS charge for listing a Buy it Now item.

Hello everyone!
The PayPal receiving fee is 2.9% + 0.30 USD in most cases for US based sellers. If most of your payments are going to be under $12 or so, you might want to look into the micropayments pricing instead. Check out our FAQ above or www.paypal.com/fees for our full fee schedule.
Thanks!
Adrian

Hi Adrian,
You were helpful, but obviously I was hoping for more.
Is there a way to charge less than $0.30 per each transaction for certain amounts - I would say under $5? I mean - my auctions are under $1 ($0.99) and that means that PayPal charge is 33% in this case. I need PayPal to be more helpful to people who sell products/services for low amounts (especially around $1).
I am certain that this improvement on the Fees policy will motivate many sellers to be more competitive on eBay.
Thanks!

Adrian was just stating that paypals normal fee is 30 cents plus 2.9% and for lower dollar items to look into paypals micro payments
Micro payment accounts charge 5 cents plus 5% , so on a $1.00 sale the charge would be 10 cents
