website with different donation amounts

A client asked me to make a page on their non profit website for a special Fund Raising program. They want to have 4 different leveles of contributions. They have a working PayPal Donate Button but they want somehow to have these different levels go to PayPal. Does anyone know how to do this with an existing button? Or, what would be the best way to register the different dontaion levels?

Hi wmskyhook, and welcome to the forums!

With a donation button, you can enter one fixed amount or allow the donor to specify his own amount. In order to have different fixed levels of donation, you could make a separate button for each level.

Hi.

What I did ... to PARTIALLY solve this ... is

I used a "Buy Now" button, rather than a donate button.

With a Buy Now button, you can create a drop-down list with each of the available donation levels.

If you don't like the Buy Now graphic, you can "use your own graphic" for the button image.

HOWEVER -

The Buy Now  drop-down list does not allow you to pick a level where the donation amount is open ( that the donor can write in his own amount.

I really think this is very important and I am surprised that the "Donate" button doesn't already allow multiple donation levels PLUS a "write in your own" amount.

This is standard donation scenario!
