i recently opened a dispute about a item i never recivied, the seller responeded with a tracking number that is a fake, but it now says action required by me, and when i click responed all i can do is either click a link that says cancel dispute or item recivied and i dont want to do either??

You only have to respond if you agree with either of those.
If you don't then let the claim continue and paypal will check the tracking number and if it shows that the item has not been delivered to you then you should get your refund.
It is confusing but you don't actually have to respond.
Advice is voluntary.

Anyone have any idea how long after the only respond if you have receied the item email you actually get a refund? i have been waiting 3 weeks now!

i have same issue its not given me the 'how would you like to respond' option what do i do now??? iv escalated it to a claim as i previously emailed the company and got fobbed off they have issued paypal with a tracking number which is obviously a load of rubbish or i would of recieved the item whats next?? please help.....

Once you have escalated to a claim you don't have to do anything.
If the seller has given a tracking number then paypal will check it and if it does not prove delivery of the item to you then you will be refunded on day 11 after you escalated.
