I ordered furniture online from a retailer, but did not get a delivery date, despite the item supposedly being 'in stock'. It turned out not to be in stock at all, and the retailer said he was happy for me to cancel the order as he hadn't actually taken receipt of the payment. New stock would not be available for some time.
There is no option showing in Paypal relating to that particular transaction whereby I can cancel the order and get the money back. It sinply says 'pending'
I emailed the retailer, asking if he needed to do anything to release monies back to me, but have had no reply from him.
So now I have GBP 375 sitting in limbo - I dont have it. He doesn't have it. So where is it?
Thanks

When you pay a company (rather than an ebay seller or individual), then it is often pending until that company processes your order and captures the pending payment.
If they don't process that order and capture the pending payment then the pending status times out at 30 days post-payment.
The funds would be in the pending part of your bank account or card, so you need to contact your funding source and ask them to release the pending funds as they won't now be required.
