paypal has put a temporary hold on a payment

Paypal has decided to put a temporary hold on a payment i was making. I thought it had gone through fine as ive never had problems making payments then got a email saying that they have put hold on account as they are inquiring my last transaction. The seller has emailed asking why i havent authorised payment when it wasnt even me that cancelled it! how do i resolve this???///

1. Ask your seller if they will wait for payment as paypal are just investigating a prior paymnet. If they refuse ask if they will agree to a mutually agreed cancellation.
2. Await paypals investigation, I can't comment on that as I have no idea of the problem with that transaction.
Advice is voluntary.
