Hi huys, recently someone who gave me $6 as a gift as issued a chargeback. They managed to win that, and got their money back. Fine. But why is it that I've now got -£16 in my paypal balance?! They issued a charge back for $6!? That's completely unfair and unethical,I have to pay funds back that I never had in the first place?
I hope to see this sorted asap as I do not have £16.00 available at this point in time.
It's a complete disgrace, and I do hope it's a mistake.
Thanks all,
Pasta186

Also, is it possible for people to send me money? As that will probably be where I get the £16 from.

Hello Matthew,
If it was a chargeback (from the other guy's side) then Paypal has to pay for the CC processor company. Usually the fee is about $10-15USD per chargeback.
It's because they asked their CC company to reverse payment instead of filing a dispute at Paypal.
You can do nothing about it.
To resolve the negative balance issue you have three choices,
- receive money from someone,
- top up using your bank account,
- click on [resolve negative balance] and use your CC card attached to your PP account.
Hope I could help you.
Denis
