Payment Reversal

So on April 4th I sold virtual goods online to a user through Skype. Yesterday, the user reversed the payment and the case was INSTANTLY closed. The transaction was a success and the user even went to the extent of living a note, stating "I am buying virtual goods, and promise not to chargeback".
I don't understand why I have no option to dispute this? It's not very democratic to not give the opposing party any say. If the user's account was compromised, I should not be the one detrimented. It is not my fault if he/she shared their paypal details with someone else. Even if I were to lose the case, I would at least feel to be treated fairly.

You lost because there is NO seller protection on paypal for "digital / virtual" items.
Advice is voluntary.
Kudos / Solution appreciated.

Ther is no seller protection for chargebacks either. I can assure other sellers even if they have everything right, tracking, delivery comfirmation and positive feedback from the sale. If a credit card company refuses to honour a chargeback Pay Pal will not reimburse the payment. You will be out of pocket and you will not get your money or the original item back. PayPal may ask them nicely to honour the payment but if they refuse ( and why wouldn't they?) you WILL lose out.

By the way, I meant to add that the above applies to 'Physical goods'. In my case an item of clothing.
