If it's an international website and company, probably not much you can do. If it was a UK website and company you have options.....depends how far you want to push it. Bottom line don't always rely on Paypal to help you. There are other legal channels you can go through in the event you are scammed which actually don't cost much. ... View more

Then you a) need to get the police involved and b) threaten the buyer with a CCJ unless he returns your goods. No need to involve paypal. ... View more

It's a risky business dealing with foreign transactions at the best of times - what doesn't make sense is that ebay and paypal are poles apart as far as your case is concerned. Clearly the issue at hand is Paypal acting as judge and jury especially when they intervene in foreign transactions whereby different laws at at work....this can be confusing for anybody and potentially very costly if you were to challenge their decision. Personally, I would refrain from dealing outside of the UK with such a system that is open to abuse or misinterpretation due to language barriers - at least if anything goes wrong here you have very clear trading laws which trump any corporations final say. ... I really wouldn't waste any time over this. TA would not be interested in such a case especially three years after the event and in any case they would have to prove you were aware the bag was fake when you sold it (if it indeed is proven to be fake, how do you know the bag sold on was yours??). I would kindly inform your original buyer that as far as you were aware the bag was an original and that unfortunately you're unable to assist them given the timescales involved and any such query should have been made at the time of receipt. ... I can't see anywhere in their terms that state partial refunds allow the buyer to keep e goods. Do paypal have legal ownership of goods sold? If so where does it state that as I couldn't see it in their terms, Furthermore what steps have paypal made to ascertain the good we're not as significantly as described and upon what authority have they refunded the buyer the purchase price and allowed him to keep the goods. I'd be firing off a letter and ask for a full written clarifying response, marked letter before action. presumably you have everything in writing ? I'd say that Paypals actions here are most certainly unlawful. ... View more
