I want to respond to a dispute where the buyer has sent the item back. The ONLY option available on the response page is:
"I have received the item – it has been returned by the buyer"
The issue is that, although the buyer posted the item ( and supplied tracking information ) it appears to have disappeared somewhere between Riga ( Latvia ) and Blackpool ( UK ) and has NOT arrived here. If I were to click on the response link above I believe it would close the dispute and refund the buyer, leaving me losing both the item and the money.
When I have posted something and it has been lost by the postal services, it has been incumbent on me to make a claim to the postal service - as the sender I am the only one who can do this as only I have the required documentation ( i.e. proof of posting ).
Unfortunately there seems to be no way of me updating the dispute with the information that the item has not been received back by me. Any advice ?
