I purchased an item from a facebook seller and paid via PayPal goods and services. I had drama with the seller even before I received the item as she refused to tell me when it would be ready and was verbally avusive to me over messages. She then blocked me off her Facebook page and refused to communicate with me. The item was a custom made footmuff. It’s been used twice and the zip won’t stay up as soon as my son moves it comes down. I’m gutted as it in total it cost £96. Would I be able to claim for this?

You 'may' not be covered if it was custom made but that does not mean you can't try.
File a dispute for item received but not as described via the resolve a problem link when you click on the transaction or on your paypal summary page.
Then when you get the option escalate to a claim. Wait for paypal to tell you but you may have to return the item first before you get a refund.
Did you activate THIS before you bought the item?
https://www.paypal.com/uk/webapps/mpp/refunded-returns
Finally if that does not work then if you funded your paypal payment via a credit card then contact your card issuer to do a chargeback.
Good luck.

Kudos / Solution appreciated.
