For some reason PP have put the reason for my claim as "item not as described" whereas the real reason should be "the item was faulty". I'm trying to contact them but each time I click on "contact us"all I get is a return to "common questions" Any ideas ?

If it was faulty then it was 'not as described' was it? So the reason is correct.
You can ONLY file a dispute for 3 reasons.
1. Item not received.
2. Item received but not as described.
3. Unauthorised transaction.
