A gentlemen came to my shop to have a motor put in his car by the name of cliff Roberts ,we sold him a rebuilt motor with modifications and installed in his vehicle,he bayed 3,500.00 through papal . Then a week later put a dispute saying he never received services So pay pal took the money back and said because I did not have a tracking number I was not protected ..... We have filed charges for theft and a warrant was put out for him ... I also sent pay pal the police report, the receipt and invoice that he sinned when he picked his vehicle up and still they did not give me buyer protection I have had my account for awhile with papal and do a lot of business through them ....... I am very disappointed in there decision I had all my evidence that I was scammed .....

Hi RPMmotors!
I am so sorry to hear that this has happened to you.
PayPal does offer seller protection. I would encourage you to review our seller protection policy at: https://www.paypal.com/sellerprotection
If the buyer filed a buyer complaint through PayPal directly, I would encourage you to submit an appeal w/ the additional information you have such as the police report.
If the buyer contacted their bank or there credit card to file the dispute, then you will need to continue working outside of PayPal, as the bank and credit card companies are the sole decision makers.
