So many overdrafts....

Okay.. So I was refunding someone $48.25. I only had 38.00 in my paypalaccount.  I was told by several paypal reps that what they do is take your paypal balance first, and then they take the difference out of your payment method credit card/bank account.  Makes sense. Well I have a paypal/ebay bank account that I opened at the same bank as my usual account.  When I want something i just transfer the correct amount over. SO I put $40.00 in my special bank account and waited for the difference to come out. Instead of taking out the difference they tried to take out the whole $48.25 while $38.00 dollars just sat in my paypal. Um I thought they took your paypal funds first and then your second form of payment. SO NOW I receieved an overdraft fee. And paypal has now informed me that they will attempt to take it out of my account two more times! WHY DIDNT YOU TAKE THE 38 OUT OF MY PAYPAL FIRST! Called my bank and apparently because it is not a bank error they will not credit me back the overdraft (thanks wellsfargo you **bleep**). Does this make sense?

Not for refunds. They have to take the FULL refund amount from one source.

If not enough in your Paypal account , the full amount from the bank account.
