Just missed the 45 day dispute timeframe :(

Hi ~ I purchased an item from an overseas seller and it has now been 7 weeks, and I have yet to receive it.  Normally I would have filed a PayPal claim well within the 45 day required timeframe, but I bought another item from the same seller a few months ago and did get it about 5 weeks later, so I wasn't too concerned this time until after 6 weeks had elapsed. (The seller clearly states in their eBay listing that it will take about a month to receive the items {custom made clothes}).

The problem now is two fold: I have received no e-mail replies for about 3 weeks from the seller (I've written to them once or twice per week during this time), and when I finally decided to file a PayPal dispute, I missed the deadline by 5 days.

Is there nothing I can do?  I think that for an International transaction like this, where it clearly does take time to receive the item, PayPal should have a 60-75 day time frame.

in my opinion since we only have 45 days to dispute, no matter what they say if you havent opened a dispute by then, you ought to. you have to protect yourself. let paypal work for you so you can get you money back. thats why we pay those dumb fee's! (LOL) buyer protection.

no, i dont think there is anything you can do at this point. but hope it comes. i have bought internatinal before and the longest it has taken to arrive is 2 -2.5 wks.  unfortunatelly some overseas sellers do that, saying it will take 30 days to arrive. . .dont fall for tricks anymore. buyer beware. 3 weeks is more than enough time for it to arrive. next time just wait about that amount of time, then if it its not here, make a claim with paypal so you will be covered. sorry that happened to you.  😞
