Chargeback?????

I'm going to make this as short as possible.....I sold a LV purse on ebay...the item was sold...I shipped it off and withdrew my money from paypal. A couple weeks later I recieve a message from this lady stating it was a fake....and I promptly told her it was not.....my grandmother had gotten it for me from deutschland and she also had the reciept.....but she still opened a dispute....and I provided a reciept to paypal stating the the bag was in fact real....and inevidably won the case. But the buyer opened a chargeback.....and I've tried calling paypal customer service 6+ times....and everytime I'm on hold for 30+ minutes...its ridictulous....I do have a life..and I do pay for my cell phone minutes. And I do not have the money to pay paypal $530 I owe them.....I'm just a college student....and I know 100% I wouldn't get the bag back even if I did pay it..... I think I'm just going to close my bank account and forget about it completely....its soooo frustrating......but I'm not sure what paypal can do to my credit??....oh and I'm also wondering if the buyer already got her money back....or if she has to wait for me to pay?

Small claims court, bring Paypal and the credit card company there. Stop letting them bully you and make them have to answer to the real authority in this, the judge, he won't be as quick to blow you off.

Was the package sent within the country and which carrier did you use to send the package?  I am confused as to how the lady was able to open a chargeback without first sending the item back.  If you sent the package USPS you have extra rights such as using the postal inspector to press charges for fraud.

Also, what code was listed on the chargeback?

I sent it through USPS ...I live in Texas and she lives in Kentucky.....how would I do the USPS fraud thing?

And it stated in the email I got:

Reason for reversal:      This chargeback type is not covered under PayPal's chargeback policies.

Good, the USPS can come in handy in a situation like this.  You will want to file a complaint with the USPS.com website.  You can google the US Postal inspector website to get a broad view of what they do.  You will want to include delivery or signature confirmation in the e-mail and state this person received your package then fraudulently filed a chargeback.  What happens most of the time is the receiver/scammer receives a letter from the USPS.  It is worded....well.  The scammer gets scared and drops the chargeback case.  They can always refuse to drop the chargeback but having criminal charges for interstate mail fraud brings honesty out of most people.

Hope this helps
