website scams

I made the stupid mistake of thinking I could purchase an iPad for $99.00, then I realized everything on the website was $99.00. I attempted to contact this person and received no reply. When I disputed it with PayPal someone emailed me a fake tracking number.

I figured since I was using PayPal I was protected from scams but apparently not the case because this person knows how transaction work and apparently can even create tracking numbers. I never received any of the items. your system doesn't even allow me to report this transaction anymore. As you can see from my history I purchase a lot of items and even have a pay pal credit card.  Apparently there is no way to contact anyone to actually discuss the situation.

Firstly this is not paypal customer services.

Secondly did you open a dispute for non receipt of item?

If so did you escalate to a claim?

If so did paypal close the claim as the seller provided tracking?

Paypals dispute processes are mostly automated so seller provides tracking = seller wins a non receipt dispute.

Sadly why would paypal protect you from scams?

They give you 'some' buyer protection but its up to you to risk assess your transactions.

Best not to buy from China websites or Social Media ads.

But they will help you with disputes but if you want their help to get you a refund the onus is on you to do the leg work.

So if you want all the info on how to appeal post back and i will get it for you.
